The analysis of a pandemic as complex as Covid-19 requires the input of several scientific and social disciplines: Knowledge of the topic itself (epidemiological sciences, medicine, biology, virology, etc.); Biomedical technology for analyses, measurements, radiology and CT scans, etc.; A thorough examination of the probable origins of propagation (human interactions, distances, aerosol, etc.) is required; Information and telecommunication technologies (sensors, GPS, UAVs, etc.) for the collection and acquisition of spatialized data of the various parameters involved; Organisation and in-depth data analysis, data science (massive data and artificial intelligence); Scientific and numerical modelling and simulation for the prediction and analysis of decision support strategies; The analysis, optimisation and monitoring of implementation strategies, infrastructure deployment, governance and government policy aggravated by factors that will not be discussed here. Given our disciplinary specialties, we would like to contribute to the understanding of the Covid-19 pandemic by investigating the effectiveness of the models used to stop the spread of the virus. We would also like to optimise and monitor the implemented strategies in order to promote and facilitate decision-making processes related to Covid-19.
