Big data: a panorama of current research by Prof. Stéphane CANU

Cycle of conferences
Palais des Congrès, Fès

Stéphane Canu is a Professor at the INSA in Rouen-Normandie, Founder of the Information Systems Architecture department then Director of the Laboratory of Computer Science, Information Processing and Systems (LITIS). He has coordinated and participated in the evaluation of several IT research programs. He devotes his research to the statistical theory of learning and in particular to kernel machines, parsimony and optimization. Summary: The data floods us and its volume increases daily.

Today's challenge is therefore no longer to access information but to process this mass of heterogeneous information in continuous flow, in enormous quantity, and in various formats. The purpose of this presentation is to take stock of new trends and associated scientific issues.
